Springville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9499 was established in 1954. In 2017, Porterville Post 2001 was merged with the Springville Post. The current total membership of the Springville Post is 142, as January 1, 2019.

The Post meets the first Wednesday each month, 7:30 P.M., at the Springville Veterans Memorial Building, 35944 CA-190, Springville, CA 93265.

The fundamental differences between our organization and other veteran organizations, and one in which we take great pride, are our eligibility qualifications. You are eligible to join the VFW if you meet the following three requirements:

  • US citizenship
  • Honorable service with the US Armed Forces
  • Overseas service in a foreign conflict, verified by:
    • Awarding of an approved campaign medal OR
    • Hostile fire/imminent danger pay OR
